Ask an Expert, Part 4 – How Do I Earn the Historical Complexity Point?

Historical complexity. It’s undoubtedly the most difficult point on the 2020 AP History 10-point rubric—and with good reason. Tony Maccarella jumped on another call with Sherpa’s David Nazarian to discuss the complexity point and how you can earn it on this year’s streamlined AP History exams. All 3 courses use the same rubric, so Tony’s advice will apply to AP Euro, AP World, and AP U.S. History test-takers alike.

Tony literally wrote the book (several of them, actually - shown below) on how to write a DBQ response. Wanna know more about what makes him an expert? Check out his full bio here.

If you have any AP history questions of your own that you'd like to see Tony answer, feel free to send them to us at hello@sherpalearning.com.
